There are a few key elements to designing the life we want and these might come in handy as the year steams ahead.
Some of us have already learned to develop a more balanced approach to our work and pleasure. In fact it has been determined in many different studies that the simple act of separating these two is often enough to create inner conflict.
We already know it is not as cut and dried as either working all the time or simply enjoying. What can help is to be a little more vigilant about our inner world and being capable of riding this emotional roller coaster of life itself.
Are we able to monitor our inner thoughts and feelings with some awareness of them or do we fall victim to our moods, frustration, and expectations?
Perhaps we might benefit if we acquired some financial intelligence as well, which is not usually acquired by education or by emulating our elders. Generally, we have been taught to get a good education, job or trade and everything else will be fine.
Nonetheless a few qualities can assist in navigating our lives through the often troubled waters of business, commerce, creativity, relationships, health and happiness.
These include but are not limited to-
- a certain creative thinking that is a right hemisphere approach
to solving problems and the challenges that life delivers.
- a superior level of communication beyond that which most
people have.
- the power and skill to negotiate; this is not innate in everyone, however as children we learn quite soon how to get what we want but we’re not children anymore so we should approach it differently.
- sales and marketing abilities; you do not need a marketing degree but you certainly need the requisite skills to move forward with your plans and put yourself out there in some way or another.
- a grounded approach to every single thing we do in our life
Neuroplasticity surgeons are even taking “mindfulness” on board. They say this can really help us to stay more relaxed and aware in all our daily activities, trials and tribulations.
But first it will help to know what it is that we want and some idea, at least on the material level, about what the end result might be and how we want our life to look.
